I’m Shinna, 20 years young and standing at 165cm(5’5).
I’m an undergraduate, currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore.
Other than being known as Shinna the fitness junkie, i also love travelling on my own and really good food!
I believe that there should always be a balance in life – Work and pursue your passions.

I started this blog because i want to reach out to people out there who are on this journey like me, hoping to get fit and striving to lead a healthier lifestyle.

I was once an overweight kiddo, though not hefty by universal standards, but enough to feel out of place and depressed during my adolescence years.
In a society where everyone was mostly smaller than i was, i definitely felt outcasted.

At my highest, i weighed in at 150 pounds.

In the past, i was held back because i did not know where to start, how to go about it, and i was afraid of judgement and failure. Thus, i simply grew comfortable with being uncomfortable with myself.

Through immense dedication and commitment, i lost 20 pounds and living the best i ever have.

Although the physical change was something i dealt with, the psychological transition took a much longer time.

Realizing that trying to achieve that size-zero model body was not possible,
I was able to find peace with my body, to accept that we are all born differently and there are just certain biological genes that we cannot defy nor warp unless through surgical means.

I have a big butt and i have big thighs… So what?

I make the best out of it, and i am living life to the fullest.

I decide the way I want to lead my life. To make full of it, or just waste it and live everyday without a vision in mind.

I encourage you to step on this journey with me.
